Born on May 9, 1977, Spec began beatmaking with compadres Lost Thought and Shifty J. Spec went to medical school overseas in India where he discovered India's Goa trance scene. After spending a considerable amount of time in Goa with a healthy dose of experimentation and a stiff lesson in the knowledge of sound, Spec went on to combine these elements to produce a smoker ambient, hip hop atmospheric journey in musical expression.
